More Than Gear: Supporting the Next Generation of Hunters

At Moroka.30, we’ve always believed hunting is bigger than just what you wear or carry.

It’s knowledge.
It’s mentorship.
It’s community.

That’s why we were proud to be part of the recent Hunter Education weekend run by the Australian Deer Association — a hands-on course designed to give new hunters the skills, confidence, and ethical grounding to get started the right way.

This wasn’t a showroom.
It wasn’t a sales pitch.

It was a weekend in the field, learning from people who live and breathe it.

Passing It On

Moroka.30 founder Rob Fickling was there across the weekend as one of the presenters, sharing practical knowledge built from years spent hunting Australian bush.

From gear selection and preparation through to real-world hunting scenarios, the focus was simple:
give new hunters the tools to do it properly.

Because good hunting doesn’t start with pulling the trigger—it starts with understanding.

Learning From Experience

Courses like this bring together a group of respected hunters, each offering their own perspective and experience.

Participants aren’t just sitting in a classroom—they’re asking questions, handling gear, and learning the kind of lessons that usually take years to pick up the hard way.

It’s about building confidence, but also responsibility.

Ethical hunting, safe practices, and respect for the environment are all front and centre.

Why It Matters to Us

We design gear for the bush—but we’re just as invested in the people using it.

Being involved in events like this is part of who we are.

Supporting new hunters.
Backing organisations that are doing it right.
Helping grow a stronger, more knowledgeable hunting community.

That’s something we’ll always stand behind.
