Howitt Hoodie (Mk2) – Technical Overview

The Howitt Hoodie Mk2 is an updated version of our original design, now featuring a full-length front zip for improved ventilation and temperature control in the field.

Built as a mid-layer or outer layer in mild conditions, the hoodie uses our Vapourtech™ fleece. This fabric is engineered to provide consistent moisture management and thermal regulation without relying on surface coatings that degrade over time. The result is long-term breathability and wicking performance that remains stable across the life of the garment.

Fabric & Performance
The Vapourtech™ fleece balances insulation with airflow, allowing heat and moisture to escape during periods of movement while retaining warmth when static. This makes it suitable for active hunting scenarios where stop-start movement is common.

The outer face is designed to be durable and abrasion-resistant, reducing the risk of damage when moving through scrub or rough terrain. Compared to standard fleece garments, the fabric has improved resistance to snagging and tearing.

Fit & Function
The full-zip configuration allows for rapid heat dump without removing the garment, improving adaptability across changing conditions. It also makes layering more efficient when used in conjunction with base layers or additional insulation.

The hood provides additional coverage when required, without excessive bulk that can interfere with peripheral vision or movement.

Camo Pattern
The hoodie is available in Moroka.30 camouflage, developed specifically for Australian environments. The pattern is designed to disrupt the human outline across a range of vegetation types and light conditions typical of bush hunting.

As for the fit and movement — that didn’t happen by accident. We designed it that way. Made sure it stretches and moves when you do. No tight shoulders when you draw your bow, no binding up when you squat or scramble. It does what it’s meant to — stay out of your way so you can focus on the hunt.
